My oh my.....where has the time gone?!?!?!?! I can't believe September is almost over!!!! That means my angels will be 3 years old very soon......and I am just NOT ready!!!! October 6th is just around the corner and Thomas and Maddy will be 3! Before you know it....November 24th will be here and my baby (Morgan) will be 2! I just don't know if I can take it all!!!! In the midst of everything my "baby brother" Jeremy and awesome "future" sister, Lauren will be getting married in November! Okay....so...now you understand why blogging has been sooooo behind for us! On top of all that we have had school, church programs, and lots of things that have called for extra prayer and praise! Overall it has been an awesome month....a busy month....but great nonetheless!!!!

Augusta Trip

We were soooo fortunate to get to join our daddy on a business trip to Augusta. For those of you that may not know or remember....we lived there for a year while I was pregnant with Thomas and Maddy. What an awesome adventure that time was for our family!!! While there, we made lots of wonderful friends....one special friend is Mrs. Megan! She is due any day now with Sofia ......and we are super excited!!!! We also got to visit two of my favorite spots in Augusta....the playground in Evans and the WONDERFUL Columbia Library......a teacher's dream!!!!

One of our awesome MM "mommies" came into town with her kiddos.....so we had to call for an immediate play date!!!! Sadly we couldn't all make it but we were able to get 3 of our families together! The Moore's, The Burgum's and The Smith's!

This is nowhere near all of us....but what a blessing it was to have so many in one place for a play date! Thank you Mrs. Carla for hosting!!!! Wow....what fun we had at Goofy Golf! It wasn't exactly the image Shannon and I had in mind (lol) but we enjoyed every second! It was soooo hot.....but we made it! We did bypass a few holes.....there was a lot of water that worried us with 3 kids under 3....oh, but Maddy did make an "official" hole in one! Great memories nonetheless!!!! Lord knows I love this life......Here we are, stopping to love on the animals that decorate the course!

Here we are on our one and only vacation of the summer......we went with Nana and Poppy to the beach. More pics of this awesome trip to follow!
Another reason we have been soooo busy.....the garden! Wow....our daddy has the biggest green thumb. We have enjoyed mounds of tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, squash, cantaloupe, onions, and more!!!!

Library Summer Activities have also kept us busy throughout June! We had an activity nearly every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday!!!! Thank you Chambers County! The teacher in me loves getting the kids excited about the library!

On another note....I have started selling Scentsy! I LOVE Scentsy....it just makes scents ;) You can check it out on my website at http://www.thesmiths.scentsy.us/ .....I just can't tell you how much I love this stuff :) Our house has never smelled sooo good!

It has been sooo long since I've posted! I apologize for that!!!! If you only knew how busy we stay around here.....LOL! With 3 angels under 3, a husband working full time while still growing a FULL garden, church that we tend to rarely miss, and a schedule that keeps us all on the go....life stays busy....busy but oh soooo blessed!!!! This summer has been filled with swimming lessons, library summer activities, play dates, visits with family, and so on! I will post the latest beach pictures soon!!!! Happy Summer Friends!!!!!

I have to admit that this week's VBS was a blast!!!! I am sooo thankful for a church family that supports a 2 and 3 year old program that also let me squeeze in my 18 month old Morgan!!!! We had such an awesome time, learned so much, and made so much!!! God is good!!!! What a great lesson we have learned from the apostle Peter!!!!

I am an avid library supporter!!!! What fun it is to have the kids at an age to truly appreciate and enjoy the library experience!!!! We signed up for the reading initiative and are already 5 books in!!! What fun!!!! I am sooo excited to see them EXCITED to go to the library!!! We have already been 3 days this week and will go again tomorrow for another program!!!!!

So...it is that time of year again....VBS registration time!!!! We will be participating in "Camp Ubuntu" June 5th to the 8th at Langdale UMC......

Here we are headed to the registration water fun!!!!!

And here we are afterward....tired...ready for dinner...and wet! But boy did we have a blast!!! Maddy even did the slip-n-slide!!!! Fun stuff!!!!

Speaking of Baby....look how tall she is getting .....and notice her hair....I think it is growing while she sleeps. Oh...and a great sleeper is she! Morgan has a mouth full of teeth, an appetite for life and food, and the most contagious laugh! What a blessing she is to our lives!!!!

This past week Shannon and I celebrated 4 years of marriage......yep, 3 perfect angels in 4 years....who could ask for more?!?!?!! We celebrated by taking the family down to Eufaula for some quality cabin time! Nana and Poppy kept priss (Morgan) while Thomas and Maddy roughed it with Shannon and I (LOL). If you could see the cabin you would know it is not roughing it......just pure pleasure with a few spiders on the side :) What a blessing to get this time as a family and what a joy it is to share the memories with you!

I was soooo thankful when our Nonnie told us about this cool event in town! What fun! We saw fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, animal rescue trucks, sporting vehicles, tow trucks, ice cream trucks and more!!!! Fun stuff!!!!!

Valley Pancake Day at Langdale Gym......the Kiwanis put this on annually and I am proud to admit that since I met Shannon, I have not missed a breakfast! (Living in Valley that is). Anyways....I am sooo honored to make this a tradition for the angels as well!!!!!

Perhaps I should say a walk, jump, skip, climb, swing, and slide in the park! We had a blast! We visited Augusta with our daddy.......he had some meetings to attend, so we ventured to a spot I dreamed of playing at when we lived here before. Thomas and Maddy were too young to enjoy this beautiful park when we were here then, as they were not even walking then. However, all three angels enjoyed today's visit to the Evans City Park! I would love to see something like this in Valley!!!!!

After church today, we got our naps and then set out to help our daddy with his latest project....fruit trees!

Everyone was in on the project....we watched as he dug the holes with the tractor, then we planted the trees.....

Once all trees were planted....we watered.....daddy had a bucket but we used our water bottles!

You should see Morgan...she never misses a step....well, sometimes, but she always gets up running!!!!!

Just like the country music song......"That's what I like about Sunday's"....boy has it been a great day!!!!!

Our Valentine's Day Surprises!!! I never knew a Hallmark Holiday could be so much fun! The angels got new book bags with goodies inside!!! What fun...however, they loved letting their balloons go outside the best part of it all! I was blessed with the coolest mom...she always made holidays so much fun and memorable...I pray my angels feel the same when they look back one day!!!!

I take a lot of pride in dressing the kids for church on Sunday......sounds silly to some I am sure but for this mama....it is a dream come true to have such beautiful angels light up my life and the lives of others! I couldn't dress them without the help of their Nana, and to her and Poppy I am most grateful!!!! Every other day of the week is play days for us but on Sunday...we shine the shoes and put on our best for our Lord!!!! In church we are learning about "letting our light shine for others to see" and these three truly light up my world!!!! So...in closing, "Get plugged in, turned on , and light up your world for God so that others see Him in you!"

Daddy's homemade biscuits.....a real treat for the tummy!!!!

This past weekend I attended a Women's Wonder Full World Retreat with our church. There were 70 women ranging in ages from 21 to 85. It as a blast!!!! I had a hard time being away from my angels.....and was sooo glad to get home...but overall it was a great retreat for this mama. I left out Saturday morning at 6:45am and returned Sunday at 3:30pm. What a blessing it was to drive down the driveway with my family excited to see me return!!!! The kids didn't skip a beat though...their daddy took great care of them and they had a blast making biscuits, playing at McDonalds, and riding their cars!!!

Sisters in action......fast forward 16 years from now....I will be one exhausted mama trying to keep up.....let's just say I will spend many a day/night on my knees!

Fun times at Nana and Poppy's......

What a great celebration it was.....we celebrated our Family Christmas on New Year's Weekend. Those in attendance were Uncle Jeremy and our soon to be Aunt Lauren, Jeb, Lacy, Emma, Ella and the newest Jones, Edee! Mamaw was also there along with Nana and Poppy! There were gifts everywhere but the greatest gift of all was watching the cousins interact and play.....they are all at such an awesome age!!! Emma is so mature and helpful, Ella and Thomas and Maddy played and fought and played and laughed till they couldn't go anymore....fun stuff! Morgan and Edee were the wee angels that have blessed us most recently.....and Jeremy and Lauren got a good taste of what awaits them! The siblings got some great bonding time in and then guys got to hunt (oh, and Emma too!)

I truly count my blessings when I look at the family Shannon and I have from both sides.....our angels are sooo blessed with sooo much love!!!!! Thank you Nana and Poppy for all the gifts....but most of all thank you for your generous LOVE!!!!

We are sooo blessed to have such loving and generous family! This does not even touch on the many gifts the angels received this Christmas....but this highlights a few from our Valley Christmas events. We also received various music toys, books...lots of books, stuffed animals, silly singing animals, a cool guitar from Aunt Stacey and Amy, and more....fun fun!!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!!

So....what do you do on the Saturday before Christmas....the rainy, cold, windy Saturday before Christmas. The busy shopping day when everybody decides to dash out and grab those last minute gifts......well, we decided to jump in feet first. At the last minute we grabbed our shoes and headed to Columbus for some adventure.

First stop....haircuts. We thought it might be helpful to try a new place with cool chairs and kid friendly decor....nope...Thomas still screamed as usual!
Both Thomas and Maddy loved the cars when not getting their hair cut!

Then it was lunch.....Oh Chickfila....how we love thee! It has been forever since I've been in a mall food court......actually I think it was this time last year......we just don't get to the mall very often :0

And then there was Santa......they were ready....they knew what they were going to say....we practiced and everything....only to have Thomas and Maddy run! Morgan could have stayed all day I think....but needless to say, we had to go!

Here he is.....we have a new addition to the Smith Plantation!!!!! Boone is our 4-legged, 4 year old , black lab mix!!! Friends from church are moving and needed a good home for this little love bug (all 80 lbs worth) and we were happy to oblige!!!! He is totally kid friendly, gentle, loving, and has the sweetest disposition! He loves constant affection and attention and we are ready to give it! Tucker is even adapting well....what a blessing Boone is to our home!!!! I guess I need to make the URL thesmithsplusfive...or maybe 6 if you count the rooster.....

It's my party and I'll eat if I want to.......and eat and eat and eat! She sure enjoyed herself!!! She eats sooo much better than Thomas and Maddy ever did....and better than they do now to be honest!!! She ate half a hamburger, some hotdog, chips, cake, yogurt, milk, and so on!!! God Bless this angel!!!! Looking back...this is from May of 2010...playing peekaboo!!!! That is still her favorite game!
My wee angel turns 1 on Wednesday....can you even believe a year has already passed....where does the time go? I can't imagine my life without this little ray of sunshine in it!!!! I thought my arms and heart were full when God blessed me with Thomas and Morgan......I had no idea just how much more love I could feel when God sent this little angel into my life!!!! Happy Birthday Morgan!!!! Here is the pink princess enjoying her pink cupcake......we did the party strawberry style...Strawberry Shortcake that is :) Morgan got the best gifts ever from the friends and family that came to celebrate....here she is eyeing her new stuffed doggy from Mr. Tom and Ms. Alice....it is as big as she is!!!!
We had a special angel join our party....Mr Kimbrell from church came to celebrate with us......he is our extra-special adopted Great-Granddaddy......thank you Mr. Kimbrell for our wonderful devotionals.....what a blessing you are to us all!!!!

October 24th to the 28th was spent in Gatlinburg, TN.....what a vacation of fun! We joined our Nonnie and Aunt Stacey and traveled to a secluded cabin in the woods.....we also got to see our Nana and Poppy while we were there. We celebrated Nonnie's birthday and just had a blast! What a great trip of fun, adventure, and new experiences......I pray we will see these mountains many many times in the future!!!! God is sooo good ......and I praise HIM for HIS glorious creations!!!!

Morgan has learned to "love" a baby and give "sugar" to anyone willing to take it! She obviously has been watching Thomas :) I can't get over how big she is getting! It tickles me to watch her...she wants to do everything like Thomas and Maddy. She wants to drink from their sippy cups...eat when they eat....climb the stairs behind them...sing and dance with them, and so on! I think this is why she won't give in and walk ....she can scoot much too fast and keep up with them on all fours.

We are planning her First Birthday Party...low key....with Strawberry Shortcake as our theme! After all....it was strawberries and strawberry cake that I craved and ate with her, along with the special strawberry stork bites that God graced her with.....so, the theme is fitting for this little strawberry angel!

Here we are enjoying our upstairs playroom.....on this chilly and cold morning!!! A few things that are new for us.....Morgan is standing stronger than ever and is soooo ready to take those first official few steps, but still lacks the confidence :) It will come soon I know! We are also planning her First Birthday Party (Strawberry Shortcake).....I can't believe it has almost been a year since I brought this wee angel home. Another breaking headline on the Smith front....Thomas and Maddy are officially potty trained!!!! Of course accidents will happen but we are all about using our potty now!!! What a blessing!!!

We were so blessed to get to spend this past week in Gatlinburg! What fun!!!! We rented a cabin with our Nonnie and Aunt Stacey. We got to see Nana and Poppy while we were there also! We enjoyed lots of pancakes, beautiful scenery, and laughs!!!! We rode on a 4 hour train ride through the smokies and had a ball! It might not have been the most relaxing vacation but it was definitely filled with the best memories!!!!

We attend Grace Place on Wednesday nights at church....here are Thomas and Maddy playing in the pumpkin patch that Langdale UMC puts on every year. Come see them....they have the best pumpkins at the best prices and all proceeds go to youth missions!!!!

We joined our Nonnie, Aunt Donna, and Aunt Cindy at the lake today....we fed the birds and ducks and had a beautiful stroll. We then hit the playground. Thomas still has fever today but is acting like his normal self.....what fun we had! I put them back in their #2 shirts...we are celebrating all week :) Party is set for Saturday!!!! Life is GOOD!!!!

Happy Birthday to the first angels that truly entered my life and heart.......Here are Thomas and Maddy as they choose their Birthday Cupcakes,....and later enjoyed a few bites.....man, Gigi's rocks!

We have truly had a blast today, despite the fever that is trying to make it's way through Thomas. Looks like he is 3rd in line for this fever virus! Anyways.....we played with our newest toys from family.....our table and chairs set from Nonnie, our walk in kitchen from Nana and Poppy, and our easel for two from Aunt Donna......wow...Christmas in October :) We are truly sooo loved....and spoiled :0 Can't wait for what Saturday (party day) has in store!

Wow.....time sure goes quickly.....and I have hardly any pictures (good pictures) to prove it .....camera phone pics are all I have.

Sleep is the word around here....or lack of I should say! With the toddler bed transition over the past few months we are also slowly trying to find some normalcy again with sleep! Thomas wakes anywhere from 3am to 5am and is ready to go! Not only does this effect Thomas but also the rest of the crew.....nerves are short around here due to lack of sleep :) However.....you tend to find Thomas crashing just about anywhere while the rest of us have to go on with our day .........

Even poor Morgan has to get it where she can........

Last weekend we got to take a day trip to the cabin to see our daddy who was down there fishing with a friend. It was a fun day...a long day...but a fun day. We took our coolest companion, Piper with us.....she brought her dolls. Here is a picture Piper's mama got while I was in the store.....this can be used as blackmail one day I do believe !

On another note, Morgan is all over the place....changing and growing by the hour it seems. She is such a doll....the happiest baby ever.....as long as those teeth leave her alone. She loves to eat and try new things.....it is so much fun watching her discover the world around!

I don't know what got into me but I decided to brave McDonalds all alone with my 3 perfect angels. After 3 different folks approached me....I finally swallowed my pride and let a nice gentlemen carry my tray to the playground area......there are still good folks in this world!!!!!
We then decided to brave the public library....what fun!!!! We will be back!!!! Like it or not ;)

I inherited this terrible, yet refreshing disease from my mother and now poor Maddy......bless her future husband and kids....yes, the cleaning syndrome strikes again! Here are my silly kiddos at Nana and Poppy's house. (Pictures are blurry due to camera phone)We drove down for a day visit on Tuesday. Poor Nana.....her computer will never be the same. What a fun time we had .....the trip is always too short but full of fun and goodies. We came home with a bag full of new hair bows for Maddy from Ladybug and Lace and some shirts for Thomas.....Morgan mostly got lots of loving. All the angels are full of runny noses but poor Morgan has it the worst! I think she will struggle with her allergies...just like her mama did as a child! Hopefully she'll outgrow them just as I have done over the years! Hope you enjoy this take on our day trip.....now we need Wednesday to regroup and recover! ;)
