Tuesday Angels

I just had to share this......more and more Thomas and Maddy are noticing each other. They will look at each other and smile, reach for the other and fuss for the other. It is really sweet. I walked through the living room and found them napping with their hands touching. It was so sweet....then, they were under the activity mat looking at each other, touching and smiling. It was so precious!!! Hope you enjoy!
A big thank you also goes out to those of you that have emailed wanting to allow us to borrow exersaucers and walkers in the Valley! We appreciate everyone's generosity! I love that people do follow our blog.....it means so much to me to get to share this blessing in my life! HUGS!!!

Exersaucer

Okay.....so I thought we would be able to just get by with one of these things....well, truth be told we need 3 more. 2 for here and 2 for back home in Valley. Shannon and I have decided to try and spend as many weekends in Valley as we can so that we can maintain the house. There is no way this thing will travel....but the babies love it!!! We may just have to open the wallet as they love the exersaucer....their excitement is just priceless!

Thomas' feet don't quite touch as well as Maddy's yet, but he is well on his way. He is getting a lot more head control! I am so proud of my two angels...but they are growing WAY toooooo fast!

P.S. Read Nana's comment....I am in total agreement. If you have an exersaucer and need to get it out of your way....give us a call or email. jonessmith77@yahoo.com

Cooking with Daddy

Super Bowl Sunday

We are getting set....Chili, ribs, rotel, chips, etc. along with cold beverages and friends.....Thomas and Maddy are dressed (I am not) and ready for the big game! What a super day for The Super Bowl! We are pulling for whoever wins....I have friends that are Steeler fans and we also like the idea of the Arizona Cardinals getting their first ring and win....so we will be happy as long as it is a good game! I am also excited about the commercials! Isn't that the real reason we watch anyways.....Have a great day!!!!

Kirby

Help! Please send in your comments as I am a bit skeptical! Today....Shannon and I purchased a Kirby vacuum. Yes...we fell victim. We got a GREAT deal seeing as how the price started at $1950 and we paid $850 but.....I am still a bit leery. After seeing the dirt the demo dude got off our floor...and knowing how close Thomas and Maddy's heads come to the floor..we just couldn't say no. Thankfully....Shannon and I both are a bit of a hard nose when it comes to negotiation. I just hope we made the right decision. Today's economy has me a bit worried and I HATE spending money!!!! But....I do LOVE to vacuum. Yes...I am weird....I actually find vacuuming therapudic!

More TGIF

TGIF

Thank Goodness it is Friday!!!! Shannon has been working extra long hours this week and we are ready for a weekend with him!!! We are also excited as we are having some friends over on Sunday for the Super Bowl. I don't really know who all is coming...but the more the merrier. I do hope we can get some rest this weekend though. The last few nights have not been successful in the area of sleep. Wednesday night Thomas actually woke for a bottle...maybe a growth spurt. But other than that.....they are just noisy sleepers. Maddy will sometimes cry out while still asleep and Thomas just mumbles a lot and fusses some. It is funny at times...but when you are lacking sleep it can be tough. Overall, I am most thankful as they sleep at least 10 hours at a time....that means we eat almost every 2 hours during the day. Here are a few more pictures from this morning. They are getting so big. I weighed them with me yesterday and they are around 12-13 lbs. I can't wait for our next appt. to get exact weights. You will notice that Maddy has her hand on Thomas in each picture. This is a big deal for her. She is always touching him if he is next to her. We have to watch her as she will pull his hair....but mostly she just needs to touch him. Have a blessed day and weekend!!!

Growing...

Yes....my babies are growing...they are growing too fast! Maddy is really showing off these days. All she wants to do is stand (my holding her hands) and Thomas just loves to jabber and carry on conversations. They both are getting good at following objects. I can toss a ball in the air and they watch it go up and then back down. They have also noticed Tucker. I will catch them watching him at times....notice the pic. It tears me up to look back at pictures from when they first came home....they have changed and grown so much! Hope you enjoy the pics....notice the new Exersaucer we are using courtesy of Miss Ella.

Hair

I just had to share the latest changes in the Smith Family. Thomas and I have discovered another thing we have in common....we are both shedding and losing our hair. It is so pitiful to see his little comb over get smaller and thinner. Maddy on the other hand is sprouting growth. Her once somewhat bald head is gradually spiking. Hope you enjoy......

Baptism

What a wonderful day today was!!! I feel so blessed as a mother and wife. I can truly say this has been one of my proudest moments. From marrying Shannon, to the birth of Thomas and Maddy and then now the baptism of these two angels....I feel so very blessed. We have such wonderful friends and family that joined us in the celebration. Thank you to both our families for traveling the distance along with Mr. Tom and Ms. Alice. Thanks also goes out to the Massey's and the Carranza's (Both attached to our blog) for coming and showing such support. God is good and today could not have been more perfect. Both Thomas and Madelynn did so well with the sprinkling and debut to the congregation! I am one proud Mama!!!

Maddy

I wanted to share these of Maddy. She is getting so strong. She lifts her head and legs at the same time. I was struggling trying to understand why Thomas was not doing the same thing but after sharing my concerns with my mom and Shannon they helped me understand. Thomas' head is so much bigger and heavier than Maddy's. I am sure his time is coming! However, he is the chattier of the two! His favorite is the "moo" and E-I-E-I-O in Old McDonald .

Hello

Hello everyone! We are still on the road. Shannon had to travel to Panama City for a series of meetings and workshops so the babies and I tagged along. He will be working most of the day and evening. We first spent the weekend in Eufaula and then headed to PC on Monday. The babies and I are enjoying the down time in the hotel room. It is nice to just take it easy for once. I can't do laundry and I do not really want to clean this room so it is basically mommy-baby time with my two angels. I have a makeshift bottle washing area and one queen bed of babyland. I am really getting excited about this coming weekend. We will be baptising Thomas and Madelynn at our church in Augusta. I am so proud that this day is almost here. We will have friends and family celebrating with us. I will definitely be posting pics of the big event. Please say a prayer for the service and the impact this step will have on our family and especially the future of Thomas and Madelynn. If you are in the area and want to join we'd love to have you! Sunday, Jan. 25th at 11am at Wesley United Methodist in Augusta, Ga.

Blessings to all~
