Baby Names

We have officially decided on our baby names. Our precious little boy will be called Thomas Abram. Thomas was my grandfather's name as well as Shannon's Daddy's name and Shannon's middle name. Abram is a family name from my side. My great-great-great-grandfather (4 greats for Thomas) was Abram Jones.

Our sweet little girl will be Madelynn Cross. Madelynn is special because Shannon wants a Maddy and the "lynn" comes from my name (Kelli Lynn Jones). Cross will be her middle name as that is a special and sacred symbol for me. I collect crosses and have them all over our home. It is only by the mercy of the cross that we are here and God has answered our prayers for the babies!

I know everyone has their own opinions when it comes to names and spellings but these are our choices and we are so very excited to welcome Thomas Abram and Madelynn Cross into our home and lives!

It is official...the house is for sale. Please check out our special house blog and feel free to share with anyone you feel may be interested. In case you were unaware, Shannon received a job transfer to Augusta. The sooner we get the house sold...the sooner we'll be in a house and preparing a home for the twins. I admit- this is a bitter-sweet transition in our lives! Here is the link to the house blog.

The Cribs

Shannon put together both the cribs! They look great! They are a honey color! It took about 4 hours on the first one but the second went together in no time! Shannon is going to be a pro at putting things together...two at time! Now....if only picking the bedding were as easy as deciding on the cribs!

Tucker

This weekend, Shannon and Tucker got in some quality father/son time. I do believe Tucker is beginning to get the hint that something major is going to change real soon! It is funny to watch Tucker with Shannon. The two of them are two peas in a pod when it comes to their time together. Tucker looks right at home in the pictures...you'd never guess he was a bit frantic out on the water. Shannon said he was lucky they didn't all fall in...cooler and all!

Shannon and Ella

Shannon got some good practice over the weekend. He gave a bottle to my sweet niece Ella. He looks like a natural....I am trying to picture him with two little ones.

Our Home

Our flower beds have needed some work, so last weekend we went to work. We purchased red mulch and filled the flower beds with lots of color! It added a lot of detail and color to the bushes and hosta we already have growing! The Ginkgo Tree also looks great! Tucker enjoys the outside time with his daddy! Yard work is not as easy as it used to be as the bending and squatting are getting harder with each day.

The Changing Table Project

Shannon has added the final touches (except for the stain) to the changing table. I have to say, I have never been more proud of him and his work! He is now just waiting on me to order the cribs so we can match the stain color....as usually he is having to wait on me. This is such a special addition to the babies' nursery!

It's Official.....

We are having both a boy and a girl! Shannon and I went for a "targeted ultrasound" yesterday and were pleasantly surprised to find out we were having one of each! We are still finalizing our names that we have chosen but we couldn't be happier about the news! The first baby is our precious girl and the second is our little fella!
