Some of you may have wondered how I bottle feed two babies......well, in order to manage our time and stay on a consistent schedule, I have to feed both babies at once. However, Thomas usually takes a nap midway through and Maddy gulps hers down so we aren't always together on the feedings. This is what I have created to get us through the day. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like holding them and giving them bottles individually....and that is how we do it when Shannon is here or one finishes before the other, but when they both are hungry and we are sticking to schedule this is how we do it. We prop....burp...prop...burp. I thought you'd get a kick out of it....just don't think me a bad mom. If I ever find a free minute, I would love to create a pillow or gizmo that would do this just right! All the multiple moms out there would appreciate it I am sure!
P.S. Don't hold it against me....yes, Thomas is on the pink boppy. That is why they usually stay covered with a blanket.....there is no time for matching up pink and blue sometimes :-)

Friday
(Mrs. Megan and Thomas )
Good Morning! We are looking forward to a great weekend in Augusta. It is finally beginning to feel like winter! I can't believe it is January already.....at least it now feels like it. Thomas and Maddy have both been sniffly but not sick. I think it is just the changes in temperatures. They haven't run any fever or acted different so we are just watching them closely. They both sound much better today....not near as much congestion. Thomas is still holding his bottle for Shannon (not me) and he even held it yesterday for Mrs. Megan. Thomas loves Mrs. Megan....he can be a big flirt sometimes. Maddy is still trying her best to sit up. She has a very strong neck and back. I am amazed daily at how much they are growing and changing. As of right now, our next appt is Feb. 11th. I can hardly wait to see how much they weigh!

Thomas and Maddy at 3 Months
Here is a picture from today! We were getting ready to meet our daddy for lunch. We love our daddy time. Maddy is trying so hard to sit up. She has a very strong back and neck. Thomas' hair is changing so much. It even has a reddish tent to it. It has thinned out quite a bit but still long. They are growing daily it seems! I am trying to not miss a minute!

Happy New Year
I just wanted to post a Happy New Year to all our blogging friends and family. We are still in Eufaula, heading to Valley tomorrow. We have been so blessed with a wonderful Christmas and now it is time to begin the New Year. What a year it has been and a new year it will be. God has been so good to us. I am most thankful for my family. On October 6th, our family of 2 grew to a family of 4 overnight. Each day has brought blessings and memories that I will cherish forever. I can hardly wait to make new memories in '09. Thank you all for your love and support and many prayers throughout this year. Again....what a year it has been!!! Shannon and I got the best Christmas present ever from Thomas and Maddy. On Christmas Eve, the two of them slept their first solid night. That is right....not one middle of the night feeding. We thought they were just exhausted from the festivities and excitement, but it has lasted and we are enjoying the best sleep in a long time! I hope Santa was good to each and every one of you as well! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and much love!

Nana's House
I just wanted to share a couple of pics from Nana's (my mom) house. We got in really late last night. The babes are still sleeping so I snapped a few pics. This is only a snippit of the Christmas decor. Mama has always gone overboard at Christmas. There are bows and santas everywhere! It is such a magical time for us all...especially this year with all the little ones. Emma and Ella (The Jones Family Blog) will be here around lunch and then we will celebrate! The list will include: Shannon, myself, Thomas and Madelynn, Jeremy (Brother), Jeb and Lacy, Emma and Ella, Mamaw, and Grandmama. What a house full! Oh...don't forget Nana and Poppy! I will have pictures to share later I am sure! I hope you have a blessed weekend! Let's all turn the air to 55 and put on sweaters and get the cocoa and pretend it feels like Christmas in December!

P.S. Sorry it isn't more straight...I am not the best at scanning.

What a hot day!
Thomas and Madelynn and I tried to take a stroll around the neighborhood today. Boy was it hot! I immediately broke into a sweat and Maddy started her red spots...she does that when she gets hot. I was afraid they might get burned by the sun or sweat, which isn't good for babies. We strolled for about 15 minutes and then came home for a bottled lunch and nap. I can't get over these 70+ temps in December.....I hope Santa can bring some cooler weather soon!
10 weeks
Good morning! We are at 10 weeks today! We had a great weekend.....mostly around the house....but overall it was a nice weekend. The weather has been beautiful. Shannon had a lot of work to do this weekend ....but we are thankful for every minute we get with our daddy. Thomas and Madelynn are up and at it today. They both have smiles on their faces. Here are a couple of pictures for today. I love their morning joy!
