Riding in the truck...

Maddy with her pink bear....thank you again Georgia!!! They love their bears!
Thomas.....dreaming!

Thomas' famous lips.....don't you want to kiss 'em!
As some of you know...we are on the road each week. We are in Augusta Monday through Friday and in Valley from Friday afternoon until the weeee hours of Monday morning. Shannon is working from Augusta but we go home to tend to the house and to visit family and friends on the weekends. Here are a few phone pics of me passing the time with the angels in the back seat of the truck.....yes, Tucker gets the front seat next to Shannon. He has "the dog's life" for sure!

Pictures

My angels are growing TOOOOO fast!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures! You can see in a couple of pictures that Maddy loves to eat and chew on anything. Both angels love to chew but as of this point...no teeth! Thomas and Madelynn are my angels and they are becoming more and more special each and every day. I am so thankful for the blessing that they are to their daddy and I. As Shannon and I celebrate our anniversary tomorrow.....the greatest gift that we could receive has already been given in these two angels. Blessings to you all!

Blue's Clues

So....my angels are smitten with Blue! If any of you out in bloggerland have Blue's Clues videos no longer in use....keep us in mind. Thomas and Maddy just LOVE the combination of real and cartoon and become lost in the episodes. Sadly....it only comes on at 7 am so sometimes we are not done with breakfast and they miss it. I am amazed that my 2 angels could really be so in tune with such a thing at almost 6 months. I know....I am a bad mommy to let them get into TV so much....but it is amazing to see their interest and excitement....plus it is educational! Thanks Nana for our first video!

I will post some pics when we return home.....however the weekend has been a bit slow with the rain and all. Shannon spent the time making a great stew......12 gallons worth! Hope you enjoyed the down time. Hugs and Blessings to all. Shannon and I will be celebrating our anniversary March 31st...Thank you Jackie and Cindy for angel sitting while we went out for a steak!

Playtime....

Here is a rare moment these days......here are both Thomas and Maddy in great moods. They were playing and loving...too sweet. It seems that over the past couple of days one angel has been a bit out of norm while the other is in good shape and then vice versa. I think it is a combination of food changes, pollen, lack of sleep due to Thomas' constant stirring, etc. They are both such a joy and a true blessing....however some of our moments are a bit more challenging than others. Again...this was a happy time for all. Enjoy the pics. You will see my Thomas trying his best to turn back to tummy!

P.S. I had a doctors appt today with my rhem so we took the babies by to see the ladies at the hospital. What a joy!!! MCG has been such a blessing to us and we truly don't feel we would be where we are and in as good of shape as we are had God not put them in our lives!! HUGS ALL!!!

Just a swing'n

Here are Thomas and Maddy in their new swings at the Valley home!!! What a fabulous weekend for swinging. The pollen didn't seem to bother them...thank goodness! We had a blast in the beautiful sunshine! The extra outside time really took its toll as they were exhausted come bed and naptime. Hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend as well! Hugs!!

Cereal Update

Thanks to all of you who have sent over advice ....suggestions....and words of encouragement. After much struggle, we finally got Thomas to take a cereal bottle. Yes, cereal bottles are not recommended much these days with the exception of helping with reflux, but since Thomas is not eating any solids and requiring 2 bottles during the night, the ped felt he was not getting the substance and calories needed. I tried cutting the nipples myself but that was a disaster and left Thomas frustrated and upset. I purchased the correct nipples and he took his first cereal bottle last night. However, he did still awaken for 2 additional feedings so I am not sure what that means.....either he is in the habit and likes the snuggle time we share or the cereal just hadn't has enough time to start making a difference. Either way, I am exhausted but so thankful to finally know he is getting some cereal into his belly. You can definitely see a difference between he and Maddy. Not that Maddy is much bigger, she just has a fuller look and her personality is more satisfied and content. I will keep you posted!!! Overall, the angels are just that.....PURE ANGELS! I am so blessed and thankful to be their mommy! I purchased an early Easter gift for the angels yesterday.....SWINGS! Thanks to my new friend Kristi ( loving two miracles) I went straight to Babies R Us yesterday and purchased our new swings. Maddy's is pink and hot pink, Thomas' is Blue and Red. We head to Valley today and I hope to have them installed under our wonderful carport. Shannon doesn't know who is more excited....me on the angels. I told him ...mommy wants some outside time too! I will share pics I am sure...so check in next week. Have a wonderful weekend. I don't plan to do much computering.....as I pray the weekend it just
lovely!!!

Hats....

I just had to share a few pictures with you.
This is Thomas in his green on St. Patrick's Day.

Here is Thomas in his new hat for summer. I found this at Target yesterday. Nana has hats on order already but I just couldn't pass this one up. It will be perfect for riding on the ranger with daddy!

Here is Maddy in her hat that cousin Ella shared with us.

Question

Okay....so I've been given the go ahead for putting cereal in with Thomas' last bottle of the day. Any suggestions? I tried it last night and he screamed and I ended up just giving him a regular bottle....wasting formula, cereal, and his patience. Please advise. Is there an easier way to do it. I clipped some off top of the nipple to open the flow....but he just doesn't like it. I don't know if it is the texture or the flow or what. He did eat a little bit of prunes yesterday but still hates the spoon....especially when it has cereal. Again, any suggestions would be great. The ped said he needs the calories and that is why he is back up for 2 bottles at night...otherwise she wouldn't suggest the cereal in the bottle. Maddy on the other hand continues to sleep like a rock. She is whispering to Thomas to hurry and master the spoon as she knows bigger treats are ahead.

Here is a camera pic of Thomas with prunes on the face!
